It feels like summer in Scotland has been absent for quite some time now, replaced instead with a near-constant stream of heavy rain showers, high winds and dropping temperatures, with the odd day of sunshine in between. Still, we’re grateful for any bit of sunshine we can get, and fortunately for Laura-Beth and Harry, the day of their wedding fell on one of those ”odd” days, giving them the chance to enjoy all the benefits of clear skies!
Like most couples, the loved-up pair had spent many months planning for their big day, and they were delighted to have Hog Roast ‘s help with not only the food but the venue too.
When Laura-Beth and Harry had first gotten in touch with us, they had expressed feelings of disappointment that the venues in their budget were all unavailable on the day of their nuptials, but our catering manager, Steve, had perked them up instantly when he offered to arrange for them to use one of our amazing partner sites.
This took a huge weight off the couple’s shoulders and allowed for seamless planning between Hog Roast Carnwath and the venue, which meant that Laura-Beth and Harry had nothing to worry about.
From our huge selection of partner venues, the pair had picked a charming barn located in the countryside, which was ideal for their rustic wedding. Keeping with the pastoral theme, the couple had selected our Southern Slow Roast Menu for the occasion, which included a tasty selection of BBQ pork butt, Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs and grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs with Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, seasonal green leaf salad and sweet potato and regular fries. Our famous BBQ-style condiments were presented on the buffet table alongside a basket of gluten-free rolls and wraps and a tower of bamboo wooden crockery and cutlery.
Laura-Beth and Harry were so grateful for the effort that Steve and the Hog Roast Carnwath team had put into turning their wedding dreams into a reality, and all of their guests had great things to say about the quality and taste of the food, which appealed to every palate!
