Guy Fawkes Night is almost upon us, and we can hardly wait! Nothing beats the smell of burning wood from the bonfire, the popping and crackling of the fireworks and their vibrant display of colours against a pitch-black sky.
There’s also something to be said for the feeling of being bundled up in cosy clothes and keeping warm from within by munching on some delicious food! And for Hog Roast Wishaw, these are what make Bonfire Night one of the best events of the year, and we always look forward to taking part in the festivities.
This year, we’ve been fortunate enough to be asked along to many events in our local area, including an organised fireworks display, which aims to raise money for some great causes.
The organiser of this event, Lucas, has told us that as well as an incredible fireworks show, there will also be lots of carnival rides for the younger guests to enjoy, as well as a wide array of stalls selling knick-knacks, freshly baked goods, candyfloss, popcorn and so much more!
Hog Roast Wishaw has been hired to cater to everyone’s appetite by serving our Gourmet BBQ Menu, which offers a fabulous selection of grilled meat options, lip-smacking side dishes and a plant-based choice for vegetarian and vegan attendees. Picture handmade 100% British beef burgers served on soft buns with melting cheese, succulent sausages, moist and tender chicken kebabs, finger lickin’ spareribs smothered in a sticky BBQ sauce, or flavour-bursting hickory-steeped pulled jackfruit with vegan coleslaw. Sounds to die for, right?

memade Greek salad, zesty coleslaw and mixture of sweet potato and traditional fries will be served right alongside these exquisite mains. And, as Christmas is just around the corner as well, we’ll be offering up some alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of our special mulled wine recipe, along with traditional mince pies and warm brandy cream.
