From all of us here at Hog Roast Aviemore, we hope you were treated to a spooktacular Halloween!
As usual, our caterers found themselves rushed off their feet with bookings this year, and so spent the holiday (and the weeks leading up to it) helping our customers and clients with their celebrations. Don’t feel bad for us, though – we had a brilliant time and wouldn’t trade a moment!
For us, catering is more than just a job. It’s our true passion in life, and we love nothing more than helping others experience sensational dining solutions all year round. We especially enjoy helping people make the most of the holidays, so we were thrilled that so many individuals and businesses approached Hog Roast Aviemore in the run-up to All Hallow’s Eve.
This kept us plenty busy throughout October, and over the course of the month, our band of exceptional catering staff handled themed weddings, school discos, fancy dress parties, and so much more! One event that really sticks out to us was the scare trail we were hired to cook for on the Saturday before Halloween.
The client, Gemma, had organised a frightening interactive experience for over 300 lion-hearted guests! Those who had purchased tickets for the event were invited to wander through the dark and creepy forest in the evening, and along the way, they were met with gory props, jump scares from actors and many more creepy encounters.
Once the ticket holders had found their way out of the terrifying trail, which was more like a maze, Hog Roast Aviemore’s team was waiting to warm them up with our Classic Hog Roast Menu.
Our sumptuous slow-roasted pork rolls with stuffing, crackling and applesauce were the perfect reward after enduring an hour-long fright-fest. And, to make it all the better, our catering crew had included a selection of mixed fries, salads and coleslaw, which added an extra punch of flavour and depth for the ravenous guests to indulge in. Our entirely plant-based BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls were extremely popular, too, and received lots of compliments from vegans and meat lovers alike.
