If you were looking to shake off the winter blues and dive headfirst into the Christmas spirit, last weekend’s 70s and 80s disco bash was the place to be! Held at a buzzing local community center, this event brought together families, friends, and coworkers for an unforgettable evening of fun, laughter, and epic grooves. From platform boots to neon tights, everyone was dressed to impress, embodying the spirit of disco legends like Cher, Madonna, and Bon Jovi (well, in costume form, anyway!).
But this wasn’t your average holiday gathering—it was a winter wonderland with a retro twist! The organizers pulled out all the stops to ensure a brilliant experience for guests of all ages. Giant snow globe machines created magical photo opportunities, while live bands delivered electric performances of 70s and 80s classics. Face painting, raffles packed with exciting prizes, and themed photo booths kept the smiles coming all night long.
Of course, the crown jewel of any Christmas event is the food—and that’s where we at Hog Roast Braemar stepped in. Known across Lanarkshire for serving up the tastiest hog roasts, our passionate catering team went all out with our Festive Menu, and the feedback speaks for itself!
Hog Roast Braemar’s turkey spread had guests swooning with its fresh cranberry sauce, sage and onion stuffing, pigs in blankets, crispy roasties, and glazed seasonal veggies. For vegetarians and vegans, our BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls were a standout hit, ensuring everyone could indulge in the festive feast.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get better, dessert swooped in and stole the show! Our homemade mince pies, served warm with brandy cream and paired with mulled wine (alcoholic and alcohol-free), were the perfect sweet finish.
The atmosphere was electric, and we were thrilled to hear rave reviews about our food and friendly team. Guests couldn’t stop complimenting the variety, quality, and festive flavours.
