Hog Roast Falkirk were delighted to be asked to cater for 80 guests at a 70th birthday party at Falkirk Rugby Club and our past experience of this area tells us that these Rugby types have tremendous appetites! We love catering for this type of event and it is a speciality of ours alongside corporate events and weddings, but we also know that careful planning needs to be considered to ensure that everyone’s expectations are met. First point of discussion is the menu and with a varied selection to choose from ranging from an entry level option to a formal dinner and buffet, there is a selection appropriate for any type of event, number of guests and cost. In this case, the client wanted Menu 1; Our Hog in a Roll option with additional veggie skewers.
Catering for a variety of events is something that Hog Roast Falkirk excels at and the selection of menus will ensure that guests will always go away fulfilled and satisfied that the food that they have eaten has been high quality, delicious and with a professional service. With the addition of the veggie skewers (which we have been told are legendary!) this enables non-meat eaters to also enjoy our food and the event and we are regularly asked to include other options to our core menu selection. We believe that we can cater for any requirements and tastes and regularly prepare and serve food suitable for vegetarians, vegans, Halal requirements and also for diners with allergies including gluten intolerance.
We arrived at the venue and chose our spot to setup which immediately brought attention from some of the guests that were already there which increased further as we started to roast the meat! Once up and running, we started serving the food as the guests were clearly ready for it and were amazed at the quality of what we had to offer. Many came back for more and before long; the pig was devoured – which is always a good sign!
The event ran without any hitch as you would expect and we received many compliments from the guests relating to the high quality of the food and professional service; Hog Roast Falkirk were very proud to contribute to the success of this event.
