Hog Roast Lesmahagow Handled A Joint Hogmanay And 75th Birthday Celebration

On New Year’s Eve, Hog Roast Lesmahagow had the pleasure of helping Doris celebrate her 75th birthday with all of the most important people in her life. The event she had organised was a cosy and intimate affair owing to recent lockdown restrictions and consisted of just a handful of guests, but the lively atmosphere more than made up for the small numbers!

Our catering team were there to make the evening all the more spectacular for Doris with some great-tasting grub, which on this occasion, centred around a delectable slow-roasted suckling pig with all the bells and whistles. And because the party didn’t kick off until 8 pm, with the food scheduled to be served a full hour later, our catering crew didn’t have to rush off to the client’s home in the wee hours of the morning as they so often do. Instead, they made sure to arrive at Doris’ home by 4 o’clock in the afternoon, which ensured the guests were given a fresh and tasty meal to enjoy.

Hog Roast Lesmahagow Using the HogMaster Pro, Hog Roast Lesmahagow’s culinary experts fixed up the sumptuous roast using the finest free-range ingredients that they had sourced locally. Once cooked to perfection, our chef carved off the layer of salted crackling and plated it up in eco-friendly wooden bowls for the guests to help themselves to. The juicy meat on the inside was then carefully sliced and added to gluten-free and wholemeal baps with the gourmet coleslaw, applesauce, stuffing and salad options. The guests were thrilled with the selection and eagerly wolfed down the hog roast rolls.

Later in the evening, as everyone prepared to raise a glass to 2022, Hog Roast Lesmahagow used the leftovers from the hog roast to create a platter of finger sandwiches for the guests to snack on. They also used roast chicken slices, ham, cheese, pickled onion and fresh salmon to give the guests a greater variety to choose from. As an extra treat, they served mince pies with brandy cream and boozy mulled wine, which went down a storm.

It was a great privilege for Hog Roast Lesmahagow to spend the first moments of the New Year with Doris and her amazing family, and we’re also so glad that she loved every second of her birthday!
