Hog Roast Luss Joins A Repeat Client For A Sunny Garden Party!

Some venues make an impression before you’ve even switched the engine off. Camstradden House is one of them.

Tucked away on the western shores of Loch Lomond with emerald hills rising behind it and dense forest pressing in on either side, this impressive Georgian manor house has been standing proud since 1739, and is the sort of place that has you slowing down just so you can take it all in. It’s also the private residence of Sir Malcolm Colquhoun, Chief of Clan Colquhoun, and his wife Lady Colquhoun, who we’re very proud to now call repeat clients. Yes, earlier this month, they invited Hog Roast Luss back to this incredible setting to cater their annual summer garden party!

After a quick walk around the grounds, our team found the ideal place to pitch up beside the guest marquee, giving everyone easy access to the food while providing a handy backup if the famously unpredictable Scottish weather decided to make an appearance – thankfully, it behaved itself. And with a sunny afternoon on the cards, our Gourmet BBQ Menu couldn’t have been a better fit.

As the grills warmed up, the smell of sizzling food soon drifted across the lawn, drawing more than a few curious glances before serving had even begun.

It wasn’t long before the guests were tucking into gourmet sausages, Thai chicken kebabs and our slow-roasted pulled pork, all served fresh and hot. As for those skipping the meat, Hog Roast Luss had hand-prepared grilled vegetable kebabs and smoky BBQ pulled jackfruit sliders, making sure there was something just as tempting waiting for everyone.

Alongside the mains sat generous bowls of potato salad, Greek salad, homemade gourmet coleslaw and a mix of sweet potato and classic fries, giving people plenty of variety to choose from. Guests seemed very happy to pile their plates high and wander off across the lawn, finding hay bales to perch on while beach balls bounced between families making the most of the sunshine. As settings for a summer party go, this one’s hard to beat.

As for Hog Roast Luss? After hours spent behind the grills, we rounded off this incredible day in the best way possible – with a well-earned ice cream in hand before heading home.
