Hog Roast Motherwell Served A Sumptuous Roast For A 90th Birthday Party

The Hog Roast Motherwell team were hired to cater for a very special event over the weekend, where Flora celebrated turning 90 years old in the company of her friends and family with one of our divine dining plans!

With the occasion being such an important day for the whole family, they had been, understandably, keen to celebrate the event properly. So, when Anne-Marie, Flora’s beloved granddaughter, suggested throwing a massive surprise party for her, everyone was on board and willing to chip in. This meant, for the venue, the family was able to secure a luxury countryside castle hotel, which had plenty of indoor space to host all 150-something attendees and even more outside acreage for the guests to take in the breath taking views. After that, the only thing left to do was sort out the food, and for that, Anne-Marie had reached out to us.

Hog Roast Motherwell John, our Hog Roast Motherwell catering manager, was a massive help to Anne-Marie, and his recommendations allowed her to quickly find the right menu for the day. Having chosen such a regal location for the party, the client promptly decided on our Hog Roast Dining Experience Menu, which adds a more formal touch to our traditional hog roast by pairing our trademark slow-roasted pig with a canapé selection, side dishes and some delicious desserts, too. This particular menu also offers a second main-course option, along with a meat-free dish, meaning the client was able to include garlic and rosemary-studded spit-roasted lamb with Yorkshire puddings and mint sauce and grilled vegetable skewers with flatbreads and tzatziki dip for the guests with differing tastes.

When Hog Roast Motherwell arrived at the venue to prepare the evening meal, they were welcomed into a grand hall, which had been decked out with white and gold balloons, round tables adorned with crisp white cloths and floral centrepieces.

After hours of cooking, the guests began to arrive, and our staff immediately offered them their choice of canapés, which kept them occupied until Anne-Marie arrived with the birthday girl in tow. Flora was blown away by the surprise party, and the food that Hog Roast Motherwell had made specially for the occasion was loved by everyone!
