Our Hog Roast Pettinain catering team are true culinary chameleons who can produce high quality food in any environment. No two days are the same for our intrepid hog roast specialists and whether we’re catering for a formal corporate event or cooking up a storm for a rowdy shindig, we always manage to pitch it just right.
Speaking of pitching, we had a brilliant time last weekend when we were asked to venture into the great outdoors to cater for a party to promote the installation of a local campsite’s brand spanking new glamping pods. The site owners Ash and Chloe, wanted to share their excitement about the expansion of their facilities and host a party for fellow camping enthusiasts and local business owners with the aim of collaborating to attract more people to the area.
So off we trekked with our fresh supplies and sturdy, yet easy to transport hog roast equipment and set up in an area of the field near the new glamping pods that Ash and Chloe had designated for the event. They were rather impressed with our own contribution to chic outdoor living as they watched us efficiently construct the Hog Roast Pettinain’s catering gazebo we provide for such occasions. In no time at all, we were up and running and got stuck into preparing the slow roasted Southern-style menu that had been chosen for the day. The aroma of our barbeque pork and Cajun-spiced whole roasted chickens cooking slowly in the open air tantalised the 50 guests and despite many requests to reveal the magical concoction of flavours we use to marinate the meat, our Hog Roast Pettinain chef stood his ground and informed them he was sworn to secrecy!
We kept ourselves busy freshly preparing all of the side orders as the meat finished cooking and the guests were being shown around the glamping pods by their hosts. With the tour over, everyone eagerly tucked into the lovingly prepared meat, which was complimented perfectly by our Louisiana BBQ sauce, Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw and corn cobettes. What better way to get the new camping season underway and celebrate what the local area has to offer, than with one of our unforgettable hog roast experiences!
