Hog Roast Renfrewshire caters many different kinds of special occasions and corporate functions all over our historic county but we also often venture further afield too. We’re actually based all over the UK and often cater parties and events in other counties and just recently, we catered a party in Renfrewshire, in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. Sarah booked us to cook some delicious food for 70 people at a private house in the centre of Kilmalcolm, which is a lovely village about 15 miles west of Glasgow.
We have plenty of menus to choose from here at Hog Roast Renfrewshire and one of our most popular for private parties is Menu 1 – tasty hog roast rolls created after we’ve roasted the meat on-site for several hours until golden brown on the outside and juicy and tender inside. Although we offer various menus, you can actually put together your own menu if you prefer by mixing and matching various options. We love to offer variety as we know that everyone is different and no two parties will be the same, so we actively encourage our customers to design the type of menu that suits them. For this event, Sarah also asked us to cook some of our homemade burgers and veggie skewers, and we would be serving all of the food later on in the evening.
Our Hog Roast Renfrewshire team arrived at the stunning residence in the afternoon to prepare the meat and start cooking it slowly but surely. You can’t rush a hog roast, and it takes hours to cook it perfectly, so we always arrive in plenty of time. We would be serving all the food at 8.30pm, so we got cracking prepping the meat by scoring it and covering it with water and salt and then we set the hog roast machine going.
By early evening, it was time to barbecue the 100% beef burgers and cook the vegetable kebabs, and then let the hog rest a little while before cutting into it. We filled trays with meat and crackling, dished up the apple sauce and stuffing, sliced the bread rolls, and then let the hungry guests know that it was finally time to eat.
