With the Easter bank holiday coming up Hog Roast Troon has never been busier! One of our first Easter events of the year was for the Smith family who had booked us to do the catering at their family Easter lunch.
With unexpected beautiful weather forecast we were in for a treat of a weekend and bank holiday, of course, packed full of Hog Roast Troon catering! We set off in our van mid-morning to the Smith family home from where we would be catering an Easter lunch for twenty guests.
As you may know, it is traditional to celebrate Easter with a lamb roast and that’s just what the Smith family had asked us for. Anna, the Smith family matriarch, told us over the phone that traditionally it would be up to her to do all the catering at such family gatherings but this year she thought it would be nice to put her feet up and relax and let someone else take care of the food. After hearing glowing reviews from her friends Anna chose us at Hog Roast Troon to come and prepare an Easter feast.
For the main event, we would be roasting a lovely leg of lamb from one of our local suppliers. Seasoned with rosemary and garlic and left to roast over several hours in one of our Hog Roast Troon machines the end result would be a mouth-watering ordeal. Our accompaniments were set to be roasted vegetables including carrots, broccoli and parsnips and of course scrumptious roast potatoes that we cook alongside the meat to allow them to soak up plenty of flavours. No Easter meal would be complete without our chefs extra special homemade mint sauce to perfectly offset the sweetness of the meat. The Smiths were certainly in for a treat!
