All birthdays are a cause for celebration, but we think you’ll agree that turning 50 is a very important milestone in anyone’s life that should be marked accordingly, and hoping to make her husband’s big day even more special, Anna decided to invite his closest friends and family members over to enjoy an intimate get together. Of course, no event is complete without having some delicious food to tuck into, and after hearing about our unrivalled catering service Anna called Hog Roast Hamilton to place a booking for our classic hog roast menu with added side options that both the guests and her husband were sure to love!
With 55 mouths to feed, catering manager John organised a smaller sized pig for the occasion and aiming to meet Anna’s serving time of 9 pm, the Hog Roast Hamilton team arrived at the couple’s home with hours to spare before the arrival of the guests. Starting with the whole pig which was evenly scored and left to slow roast on a bed of savoury stuffing, the catering crew prepared the mouth-watering menu which incorporated a meat-free alternative of grilled vegetable skewers with optional haloumi along with a freshly tossed mixed salad, creamy coleslaw and an abundance of gluten-free rolls and wraps which allows guests to experiment with their own flavour combinations.
Arriving guests were pleased to discover that the buffet was already complete, and after collecting one of our eco-friendly wooden plates from the serving table they helped themselves liberal portions from the succulent carvings of meat, crispy crackling and moreish side dishes that Hog Roast Hamilton had spent the afternoon creating. As the host, Anna was also impressed by how smoothly the event was run which allowed her to enjoy the party without having to worry about keeping her guests topped up with food.
As is the case with the majority of the events we cater at, the lip-smacking food quickly became a huge talking point among the guests and even as the temperature plummeted below freezing, everyone remained in high spirits and the party continued to rage on into the late hours of the night.
