Hog Roast Kilberry’s latest catering event was a seriously spooky, Halloween themed wedding! Clients and happy couple Mandy and Rich were having a spooky wedding but didn’t want the food to be terrifying- so they turned to the Hog Roast Kilberry team to put together a buffet for their 30 guests that would be a treat and not a trick.
Mandy and Rich worked together with the team to create a magical menu that had something to everyone’s tastes. The package that the clients paid for also included the use of Hog Roast Kilberry cutlery and crockery, they selected to use the finest china crockery and cutlery but opted to bring their own napkins, as they were Halloween themed.
Catering Manager John from the team arrived at the suitably spooky gothic hall where the couple were having their celebration and he was blown away. The decor was full of fake spider webs, glittering spider lights, ghoulish skeletons and jack’o lanterns.
Chef John had plenty of space just outside the hall to set up the catering equipment and the gazebo. He got straight to work when he arrived at the venue at 1pm, so that when the 7pm serving time arrived all the dishes were piping hot and ready to be enjoyed by the guests and the happy couple.
One of the main tasty delights on offer at the buffet was slow spit roasted turkey, served with homemade sage and onion stuffing and delicious fresh cranberries. That wasn’t all however! There was also carrot and orange salad with sesame dressing (a delightfully on theme coloured food), grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, sizzling BBQ pulled jackfruit and much more! There was of course a large platter of chips, made from regular potatoes and sweet potatoes.
Once the food had been thoroughly enjoyed Chef John quietly tidied away. All rubbish from the catering was taken away by him and later responsibly disposed of by the team.
The wedding may have had a Halloween theme but the party was certainly a treat and not a trick.
