We were asked if we could do a finger buffet last week for a party with a hog roast Forth. The event was being held in the church hall not far from us and the church were having an open day an event that they hold each year. Early on Saturday morning we were up baking lots of lovely food for the event we made some mini sausage rolls and Cornish pasties some lovely cheese and onion quiche. A delicious pasta salad using tuna and mayonnaise and some mini scotch eggs we baked enough to feed a small army!
When we arrived we placed the freshly baked food on platters and then set up the machine and filled it with sausages, which we later placed on sticks easy to eat and lots to feed. We then made a huge batch of tomato dip and lots of lovely fresh chutney. We then chopped lots of fresh salad vegetables and placed them in bowls for the guests to enjoy. The crowds were starting to arrive and we were ready to serve the hog roast Forth. We placed the plump fresh meaty sausages on sticks and the guests dipped them in the tomato sauce and we had lots of lovely compliments the cold food went down a treat too and we had lots asking about our lovely light pastry and we said its years of practice and we have to agree it is mouth-watering we fed the crowds and they were so impressed by the food saying it was the nicest food ever. We love to hear nice feedback from customers and they never ever disappoint. The quiche was a particular favourite and guests couldn’t get enough of it we really make the effort and make sure everything is fresh for each and every event. As we cleared away we were asked if we could come back next month and cater for the Christmas party with another hog roast Forth and we said we would love to. We had a lovely time as we always do at each event and met some lovely people we love to please and please we always do each and every time.
