As one of the country’s leading renewable energy source consultants, Natural Power has had a busy year of developing their brand, fundraising for local charities and picking up climate-conscious awards; so by the time December came around, the staff were in desperate need of something to help them relax. Luckily for them, management had a trick up their sleeve for the annual Christmas and end of year party that was sure to get them in the festive spirit! In the weeks before the get-together, the company had arranged for Hog Roast Dumfries to serve our delicious hog roast dining menu which delivers an unrivalled alfresco experience that is always well-received by our customers.
Intending to make all 85 guests feel included and catered for at the event, Hog Roast Dumfries had chosen to add a couple of meat-free alternatives along with some of our more comprehensive side dishes to accompany the main attraction. With the arrangements well underway, Natural Power Consultants Ltd took the opportunity to share the exciting news with the staff which led to a rush of enthusiasm throughout the office!
Finally, after weeks of dreaming about the mouth-watering feast, it was time for the party to go ahead, and arriving on-site in the early hours of the morning Hog Roast Dumfries began working on the lunchtime menu. Using our lightweight and easily portable cooking equipment, the team set up the catering gazebo before throwing themselves into preparing the medium-sized pig by rubbing it down with salt and evenly scoring the skin to create a layer of perfectly crispy crackling.
With the pig sizzling away in the background, the catering crew took their opportunity to create the tantalising side dishes which included tomato and mozzarella salad, creamy coleslaw, mixed salad, a seasonal vegetable medley, jacket potato wedges and juicy gourmet sausages; along with the meatless alternative of grilled veggie skewers with optional haloumi and tzatziki sauce. As always, we’re pleased to announce that the food was a huge hit and the guests immediately fell in love with everything on the menu – so much so, that some even asked for our business cards before the team left!
