For a delicious Christmassy treat to enjoy together with all of your guests, Hog Roast Wigtown are the ones to call. At this time of year, our festive menu is the perfect way to get into the spirit of Christmas, regardless of the special occasion you might be organising. From a family gathering to a party with friends in your bubble or a corporate function, or really anything else you can think of, this menu provides plenty of homemade food made fresh on the day at your venue.
You get to choose your meaty main from either whole-roasted turkeys (to keep with Christmas tradition), which we slow-roast over flames and serve together with trimmings of fresh cranberry sauce and sage and onion stuffing, or one of our free-range, slow-roasted, centrepiece Hog Roast Wigtown hog roasts, to enjoy with crispy crackling, stuffing and apple sauce. We also serve various sides to fill you and your guests up, including pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, roasted potatoes and a medley of seasonal vegetables and then finish the meal off perfectly with traditional mince pies and brandy cream.
Our experts have always worked hard to ensure that everyone invited to our customers’ parties and events can enjoy our food, which is why we offer all kinds of alternatives, including ones for guests on special diets. With our festive menu, this already includes a vegetarian main if needed, of our highly popular veggie skewers, featuring halloumi, mushrooms, tomatoes, red onion, courgette and peppers, and which we serve with wraps and Tzatziki, and they can easily be made vegan too, by leaving out the halloumi.
For a corporate event that Hog Roast Wigtown had been invited to cater recently, we were asked to serve our festive menu, with both a hog roast main for the carnivore guests and our veggie skewers for the vegetarians. We set up our equipment, prepared the meat to be roasted and then the meat was sizzling away for hours on end, and then later in the day, we cooked up a storm with the veggie main and all the lovely sides, trimmings and desserts, and by 5pm, we finally had a great feast, ready to serve.
