When Hog Roast Cadder are catering for a special event, whether that be a wedding, birthday, christening etc, we make sure it shows in our work just how passionate we are about hog roasting and making sure your party is enjoyed by everyone! We love going above and beyond and that was just the case when we catered for a very special 80th birthday in Cadder recently.
Michael had turned 80 and his two daughters decided to organise a very special party for their much loved Dad. Michael had re-located many years ago to live with his wife and have his two daughters and it wasn’t very often that Michael went home to see his old family and friends. Little did he know that his daughters and wife had arranged for a coach to bring all of his friends to the party that he hadn’t seen for many years. As soon as we found out this information we knew it was going to be a very memorable day for everyone and we wanted the catering to be just as memorable for all of the guests.
After discussing the menu options the daughters had decided on our Southern Slow Roast menu as they didn’t know all of the guests personally themselves to know what they would like. With our Southern Slow Roast option you are able to choose a variety of meats, therefore much easier to please every guest. With sweet potato wedges and an array of salads available they definitely had everything covered. We also prepared some of our famous vegetarian skewers and had a selection of gluten free rolls available just in case, as we at Hog Roast Cadder never want anyone to not be able to enjoy the food!
The guests had all arrived before Michael and as he entered the room it was shock after shock for him as he noticed who had come such a long way! Plenty of tears (happy tears) and hugs all round, but that soon was interrupted by the delicious smells floating across the room as we were ready to serve ta 150 hungry guests!
The food was enjoyed by all, and Michael was very thank full for us at Hog Roast Cadder ensuring that everyone could get involved and eat. We had a fabulous day, so we can only imagine how overwhelmed Michael was at the end of the day.
