Earlier this summer, Hog Roast Aberdeen was contacted by Marcus to provide catering at a family party on a local sports field. The party was being hosted as a family reunion and Marcus hoped that relatives from across the country would gather together and enjoy a great day of sports, sunshine, and good food. For the menu, the Hog Roast Aberdeen team was hired to serve our Gourmet BBQ menu for the 30 guests, as nothing tastes better in the sunshine than a barbeque! Not only is this menu delicious, but it also has a wide variety of dishes for the guests to choose from, including plenty for younger guests to enjoy.
When the day of the party arrived, the weather forecast was not looking good, but the party was still set to continue. Bad weather is not a problem for us and the Hog Roast Aberdeen arrived at the venue with a marquee to protect us from the rain. We got to work on preparing the menu, which included succulent pork sausages, veggie sausages, marinated chicken kebabs, BBQ spare ribs, and halloumi and vegetable skewers. The mains were served in bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. For the sides, we served homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, a selection of seasonal salad dishes, and corn cobettes. Luckily, by the time our menu was ready to serve, the sun had made an appearance and cleared the rain clouds away, leaving the guests to enjoy a dry afternoon.
