We faced the worst weather imaginable last Saturday as we headed north. Sleet, wind and bitterly cold! But once the van was packed we were on our way and heading to cater for an engagement party with a Hog Roast Cormiston. We brought with us a mountain of food and lots of freshly baked produce we had baked earlier that morning. We arrived nice and early and chatted to the happy couples mother’s Ava and Louise who had booked us.
They showed us into the room to cater from and they left us to it, the room was in a lovely little old club with lovely authentic features. The first job was to set up the machine which takes just a few minutes then we placed some lamb and chickens on the machine the tables were already set so all we had to do was fill them with food form our Hog Roast Cormiston. We placed sausage rolls; quiche, mini pasties, scotch eggs and cup cakes on the tables that we had baked along with an assortment of freshly baked buns and wraps. We then had the task of slicing and dicing lots of salad ingredients and placing them in bowls with freshly made dressings. We make our salads like a mini work of art! We love to impress and we are perfectionists in all we do. We made some stuffing and a lovely mint sauce to accompany the meats and then we made a lovely cheese board using lots of different types of cheeses and placed pots of chutney and pickles around the tables.
Everything was all set as the happy couple arrived and they covered their mouths with their hands as they were in disbelief at the sight of the Hog Roast Cormiston. The chicken just fell off the bone so tender and moist and full of natural juices. The lamb was tender and juicy and just fell apart to the guests amazement, as they tasted the food and said it was the best spread they had ever seen! Ava and Louise couldn’t thank us enough as they were put in charge of organising the catering and they said that they couldn’t have chosen better and we couldn’t agree more.
