Hog Roast Gretna Green Catering At The Beautiful Blencowe Hall

Lanarkshire - dessertsHog Roast Gretna Green were delighted to be invited by our client Vicky cater for around 30 people at the amazing venue of Blencowe Hall near Penrith.  This venue is a stately home and part of the Rowley Estates and regularly hosts weddings and corporate events; it is a specific venue of choice in the area due to its historic 14th century status and beautiful grounds and castle, nestled in the heart of Cumbria and the Lake District.

We love catering for all of our clients in any location but a venue like this is something special and our chef Andy understands that preparation and planning is the key to a successful event (alongside exceptional service and outstanding food!) whether it be a wedding, corporate event or private do and we always ensure that no compromises are made with our service no matter what the event is.  First point of discussion for our chef Andy was the choice of menu and with six to choose from ranging from an entry level option to a formal dinner and buffet, there is a selection appropriate for any venue, event and budget.  In this case, the client wanted us to deliver a choice of four canapes, our Southern Slow Roast option with wooden crockery and finally a choice of two desserts.  One of the major strengths of Hog Roast Gretna Green compared to many other good caterers is not only our exceptional service and outstanding food, but also our ability to tailor our menus for any specific requirement which regularly includes vegetarian, vegan, wheat free and Halal options.

We usually cater for one sitting but Vicky asked us to serve the canapes at 2pm and the Southern Slow Roast and desserts at 5pm; this enabled us to get to the venue early to setup for the first sitting and to liaise with the client for any finer details in good time.  It also enabled us to marvel at the castle and the grounds between sittings which was a bonus for us as it is usually non-stop!
