Not everyone has a big wedding with all your family and friends invited, and the latest Hog Roast Barrhead clients had selected to elope! They then wanted a belated wedding reception to celebrate their private marriage once they returned from their honeymoon. It was this belated wedding reception/welcome home from honeymoon party that the happy couple hired the Hog Roast Barrhead team to cater.
The clients wanted a casual, informal buffet for their 50 guests. The event was to be a fun party full of good food, happy music and loving friends and family. The party was at the local town hall, with the buffet starting at 4pm.
The clients worked with the Hog Roast Barrhead team to put together a hearty buffet for their guests. Also, as part of the catering package they selected the team would provide wooden crockery and cutlery, as well as high quality disposable napkins.
The buffet for the event had many delicious dishes that were made on site in the hours leading up to the event. These dishes included: slow roasted tender spring lamb served with fresh mint and tangy homemade mustard and dill sauce, pasta salad, leafy green salad, tomato and basil salad and finally new potatoes that had been roasted in rosemary and garlic. To go with these delicious platters there was a small mountain of fresh crusty bread rolls and a whole assortment of sauces.
These dishes were lovingly prepared by the Chef using the equipment that had been set up five hours before the buffet serving time. The Chef remained at the buffet table so that the guests had some assistance while loading their plates high with tasty offerings.
After the food had all been enjoyed and the celebration was slowly coming to an end the Chef discreetly tidied away. All the waste generated from the catering of the event was taken off site by the Hog Roast Barrhead team so it could be disposed of responsibly.
The event was a great success. The clients and their guests were delighted by the buffet, it was perfect.
